Animal Heroes in Action
Grade 2 Leads with Compassion Through Their E-Sup2er Project
This term, our Grade 2 students stepped into a world where kindness, courage, and compassion mattered more than capes. Through their E-Sup2er Social Studies Project: Animal Heroes, they discovered that real heroes are the ones who care for those who cannot speak for themselves.
The highlight of their learning journey was an insightful and heart-touching session with the Animal Rescue Team and Shelter Centre (ARTS). The young learners listened with curiosity as the team shared real-life stories of rescued animals, the challenges they face, and the love and care required to help them heal. Their little minds absorbed every word, and their hearts grew big with empathy. Many students expressed how they wished to help these animals too—proving that dreams of kindness start early.
Inspired by the ARTS speakers, our Grade 2 students transformed their thoughts into action. With creativity and excitement, they designed thoughtful projects—posters, crafts, badges, bookmarks, and more—that reflected their understanding of animal care and welfare. These wonderful creations became part of a small entrepreneurial venture, where our young changemakers confidently sold their projects to raise funds.
Their hard work paid off as they collected a handsome amount of money to donate to ARTS for the rescue and care of stray animals. The pride on their faces showed how beautifully they had connected learning with real-life purpose.
This project not only taught them about animal welfare but also helped them grow into responsible, empathetic, and proactive members of society. Our Grade 2 Animal Heroes proved that age does not define one’s ability to make a difference—sometimes the smallest heroes carry the biggest hearts.
We are truly proud of their kindness, creativity, and determination to help make the world a better place for animals in need.
