On this beautiful occasion of Mother’s Day. I would like to share how becoming a mother changed my
perspective on life.
Before motherhood, I measured life through achievements, responsibilities, and goals. But becoming a mother
taught me that life is also about love, presence, patience, and emotional strength.
Motherhood changed the way I see people and relationships. It made me more compassionate, more
understanding, and more empathetic toward the struggles others carry silently. As a doctor, I began to connect
with my patients not only professionally, but emotionally as well. I started understanding fear, hope, sacrifice,
and vulnerability in a much deeper way.
Becoming a mother also taught me the value of small moments. A child’s smile after a long day, a simple hug,
or hearing “Mama” can bring a kind of peace and happiness that no professional success can replace.
As a single mother, motherhood taught me resilience. It showed me that strength is not about never feeling tired
or overwhelmed; it is about continuing despite those feelings. It taught me independence, courage, and the
ability to rise again after difficult days.
Most importantly, motherhood changed my priorities. I realized that success is not only measured by titles or
accomplishments, but also by the love we give, the values we teach, and the lives we nurture.
Motherhood transformed me into a stronger person, a more compassionate doctor, and a more grateful human
being. It gave my life a deeper purpose and reminded me that even in the busiest moments, love remains the
most powerful force of all.
Today, I would like to honor all mothers, especially those who continue to work tirelessly while raising
children on their own. Your sacrifices, strength, and dedication deserve recognition and respect.
To all mothers around the world: thank you for your endless care, your silent sacrifices, and your unwavering
strength.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers everywhere.
