Annual Staff Picnic 2022
It is a real blessing of ALLAH Almighty that after suffering from rigorous sanctions of observing social distancing, wearing masks, and getting vaccinated, for almost two years, we have finally come out of this trauma and the life has got back to normality. So after a long pause, the Cambridge Campus Gulshan arranged a staff picnic on Saturday 21st May, 2022.
Luckily when we assembled at the Campus, it was overcast that enhanced the sense of delight. We set off from the Campus for our destination near Manora beach at 8:30 am. There were arranged two cosy air-conditioned buses, so travelling itself became start of the picnic. A spacious hut was waiting for the GC family there on the beach. Some of the members did not waste a single second and ran towards the rolling waves. We all really had the whale of the time there. At 11:30 we had a tea break. And went back to plash and splash. For lunch, live barbecue was planned along with “haleem and naan”. Each and every member of the staff had fun and delight. There was ample supply of seasonal fruits such as mangoes, plums, bananas, melon etc. the time flew by and it was the afternoon, we had the second tea break at four o’clock. Some of the teachers were so passionately enjoying bathing in the sea that they even refused to come out for tea.
The young teachers were more interested in taking pictures and selfies, while some female teachers preferred to sit in the balcony to have the soothing view of the sea from there. After “Asr” prayers, we gathered for group photos. And at six o’clock, with a farewell cheer we left for the Campus.
It was in fact a memorable occasion and the credit goes to Ms Humera Shahab, the Head of School for making proper travelling, catering, and security arrangements. Our special thanks goes to our newly-promoted Senior Mistresses Ms Shahina Ahmed, and Ms Sadaf along with the contribution of our Head of school, who generously paid for all the catering expenses.
