A breast Cancer Awareness session was organized on October 11, 2022, at Cambridge Campus Gulshan. The entire event was organized by the student body under the supervision of dedicated teachers.
The session was conducted by Dr Sakina, an oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgeon at the OMI Hospital. She emphasized the fact that early detection can save many lives. The event highlighted the cause of breast cancer, misconceptions regarding it, and how we as an individual could prevent it. Basic background knowledge on breast cancer was given and methods of conducting BSE, or the need for mammography were provided to the attendees.
The event was dedicated to all the super mothers who were cordially invited to attend the event. It was indeed an interactive session where the students and their mothers questioned and cleared all their ambiguities. In the end, the feedback received was wonderful and the satisfied smiles on the faces of the attendees made the event worthwhile. We thank Dr Sakina and her team for the wonderful session.
