Instead of just reading your notes over and over, close your book and try to write down everything you can remember from memory. You can also practice explaining the topic in very simple words, as if you are teaching a child, which quickly shows you what parts you still need to learn. It helps to study in short, 25-minute bursts with quick breaks in between so your brain stays fresh.
