Field Trip Day finally arrived: a journey to Ocean Mall! From the moment our class learned about the trip, we were determined to make it the best one ever. We planned everything, who would sit together, who would bring snacks and games, and the excitement was contagious. My friends and I could hardly wait.
As we lined up to board the bus, everyone was buzzing. We rushed on to claim the best seats, and I settled in with my friend to share snacks and play games, even our teacher joined in. The ride felt endless, we watched every building pass, wishing we’d arrive already. Then someone shouted, “We are here,” and the whole bus erupted in cheers. Stepping inside felt like entering a paradise.
Our first stop was the arcade, but when one game was out of order, my friends and I headed to the haunted house instead. It looked harmless at first, but it was full of jump scares, creepy sound effects, a fake girl hanging from the ceiling and a boy surrounded by flames. We finished by navigating a dizzying mirror maze. It was equal parts terrifying and thrilling.
Next, we tried karaoke. Though shy at first, the encouraging host helped us sing our hearts out. Then came the “laser maze”, where we had to weave through beams without setting off a loud beep. My friend and I made it through easily. The bumper cars were a hilarious highlight; my friend drove expertly, and we crashed gleefully into our classmates. After that, we experienced a simulated rollercoaster in the movie theatre, holding onto our seats as they rocked and swayed. We even rode a ship that soared and dipped like waves.
Later, we moved to the trampoline park, bouncing, climbing and sliding. We tackled obstacle courses and made new friends along the way. All too soon, the day ended. We boarded the bus back to school, and as soon as we arrived, my name was called. It was time to head home, filled with unforgettable memories.
