The Beaconhouse School System, Primary III campus Gulshan held the Annual sports day at the Gulistan e Scouts Training Centre. We divided our program in to two slots by keeping in view the SOPS and thoroughly followed the safety measures throughout. The event started off with the recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by an ode to the country and a synchronized march past on the rhythm of Music and our students performed with great zeal and gusto.
Our P.E teacher Mr Rehan Akram who has been associated with BSS for last 12 years, a Gold Medalist in net ball and throwball on national level, had trained the students for the event .Our Chief Guests Syed Asrar-ul-Hassan Abidi (President Pakistan Footvolley Federation), Mr Ghulam Ali Ansari (former Pakistani Cricketer between 1993 and 1195) and Mr Rashid Naseem (founder and president of Pakistan academy of martial arts with over 50 Guinness world records) graced the event and gave medals to the winners. They encouraged children to actively participate in extracurricular activities while focusing on studies and appreciated the 100% participation by the students.
The P.E display, band, zumba ,aerobics, gymnastic, taekwondo performances left the audience awestruck and drew constant applause from the spectators.
As soon as the races began, the air was filled with applaud by the parents for their children. We invited the judges from different branches to judge the track events with justice. Parents’ and support staff races were also held. In the end our honorable judges and our chief guests were awarded with the honorarium presented by our Head Mistress. Parents gave an awe-inspiring feedback and appreciated the efforts of the management. Last but not the least “The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”
