Sports play a very essential role in building the physical and mental health of the children. Physical activities are an integral part of the growth during Early Years, and at GKG 1, we duly recognize this fact.
To help nurture growth and good sportsman spirit among our children, Sportsganza was celebrated at GKG1 on the 16th of February 2022. The event was celebrated at the state-of-the-art Gulistan – e – Scouts Sports Complex ensuring all safety protocols and social distancing measures were in place.
The sports day celebrations kicked off with an enchanting walk past where the students marched with full zeal towards the playing field to commence the sports week activities.
It was followed by a soulful prayer and a wonderful PT display. PT display is one of the best ways to showcase the talents of the children. The coordinated moves of these young sportsmen served as a fantastic treat to the spectators. It requires an immense amount of practice to perform such exercises in a synchronized manner and our young athletes gave in a great amount of effort to put up a fantastic show.
Proceeding with the day, students from the KG level showcased their indigenous talent from their respective groups of Band, Taekwondo, and Gymnastics. From the melodious band performance to some fabulous formations in gymnastics and the exhilarating taekwondo moves, all of it was enjoyed through and through by the audience.
Moving forward, each class came to the race track and showed their talent and sportsman spirit by competing to reach the victory stand first. Various categories of races were enjoyed by the children including hurdle race, bunny race, and zig zag race to name a few.
The winners and participants were awarded medals that lifted the spirits of these young athletes and instilled a sense of achievement in them. Goody bags were distributed amongst the children to elevate their energies higher.
Parents were highly appreciable of the team effort put in by GKG1 to organize a splendid Sportsganza and relished every triumphant moment of their children.
