Our beloved Sindh has given birth to the messengers of love in the past, the Sufi saints who became the torch bearer for equality and brotherhood among the people. One such well-known and notable personality is Shah Bhittai.
14th Safar is celebrated as Urs of Bhittai where devotees gather in hundreds of numbers and pay their respects to Bhittai from Bhitshah. To keep his contributions alive and reliving his message, it is vital that our coming generations also know about him.
Students from LP-I stepped forward in the commemoration of Latif Saen. They performed on Bhit ja Bhittai song. The girls were dressed up as The Seven Heroines of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. They pronounced some of the beautiful shairs from Shah jo Risalo and enlightened the audience with the importance of Latif’s writings, his message, and the importance that he carries in the history of Sindh.
