Pakistan is widely known for its variety of cultures. It’s an occasion of celebrating togetherness with beautiful customs, traditions, food, dance, art, and colorful dressing with intricate details.
Beaconhouse celebrated Cultural day when students and the teachers participated in full zeal. It was a radiant day with each and every individual dressed up according to different provinces’ cultures. It was a chance to appreciate how our country is blessed with four provinces and four different cultures yet united with the tie of brotherhood and peace.
The teachers had set up corners for each province which they decorated with the littlest of details and displayed the typical food brought by the students themselves. Not only was it an event of dressing up but the purpose of all the hard work was to let everybody know the culture of all four provinces.
There were dances performed by the students on the specific songs of each province and on the beat of dhol and of course who can resist the groove if it’s the lively beat of a dhol!
Overall, it was a fun-filled, important day to celebrate because it is a must that we embrace our roots especially when half of Pakistan is being driven towards the western culture.
