Science Calls for Practical!

There is no science without observation and practicals. Grade 5 was seen examining “Gases have mass” by a simple experiment performed by the science teacher. The experiment consisted of two inflated balloons scale and one of them was to be popped later. The scale tilted towards the side where there was still an inflated balloon. Proving the balloon filled with air has mass which made the scale tilt.
The students also got to learn the difference between mass measured in kilograms and weight measured in Newtons. Related to the experiment, one of the students proposed how Albert Einstein’s theory says that massive space objects like stars and planets, bend the space around them. This bend of space produces a gravitational pull.

No wonder they say science is interesting. It’s not just a subject but one whole dimension of curiosity.
