Do you know what syndrome Pakistan suffers from? The light-na-chali-jaye syndrome. Because everything we do, we do it in a rush from the fear of load-shedding.
Speech competitions are not always bound to be plain and boring and to make sure the day had a good start, some very hilarious speeches were presented by grade 5 students in the Urdu speech competition. Each of the participants had some very funny stories to tell followed by the line ‘aur light chali gayi‘, and left the audience in fits! Not only the audience but the jury also enjoyed the competition throughout.

We are all the sufferers of load-shedding of electricity which is why the speeches were totally relatable and spot-on. Well, at least not every bad thing can be cursed, some of them can give a good outcome!
