“Cultural is not an initiative. Culture is the enabler of all initiatives” (Larry Senn)
Sindhi cultural day is widely celebrated with traditional enthusiasm around the world on the first Sunday of December. Sindhi culture is one of the ancient cultures of the world. The history of Sindhi language begins from the eighth century. The language has still survived due to the vast vocabulary and rich literature. Ajrak and topi is considered as the symbol the respect an honor.
Sindh has always been the land of love and peace, dominated by the great Sufis like Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai and Sachal Sarmast. Students at kindergarten campus Latifabad Hyderabad shared different information about the language, culture, food, handicrafts, literature and music of Sindh.
They sang most popular folk songs, which moved the audience to come to the floor and they were told about the historic background of those folk poetries. Every single face showed their love for their province by wearing Ghagga, Susi dresses and Ajrak-Topi. Students enjoyed the event thoroughly as non-sindhi speaking students found it immensely interesting to know the facts about the province they live in. Our province represents a beautiful combination of the people speaking different languages with peace and harmony.
