8th September is proclaimed as an International Literacy Day every year. This year our literacy day was an eventful occurrence. It was proud watching our first graders inaugurate the literacy week by coming in costumes and performing the famous authors and their stories to focus on spreading awareness among pupil regarding the importance of literacy.

Kindergartners, visited the library and searched CVC and CCVC words from random story books and made a crafty caterpillars with all the new vocabulary.

“Storytelling brings language learning alive and creates participatory and immersive experience that allow young learners to enjoy hearing the language in a entertaining way.”

Next! It was time for the story telling by our very talented School head Ma’am Anjuman Rashdi. Our tiny tots of Pre- Nursery really enjoyed the session with perfect background sounds by our music teacher.

“It is not enough to put your heart into something, the really important things require much more than that”!

And that much more was the Puppet show organized by the Nursery teachers. To engage the children and teachers a puppet show was a great idea! the excitement was beyond the expectations.

Beaconhouse Kindergarten Campus was pleased to have such fructiferous activities to promote the reading and writing skills in a tremendous way!
