“When the month of Ramadan arrives, the doors of mercy are opened.” (Sahih Muslim: 2496)
The holy month of Ramadan brings blessings for all Muslim Ummah. It also helps in building stronger relationships with Allah by practicing self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice and empathy. Every year Muslims around the world observe this month as a time of serving the humanity.
Being a responsible part of the society, Students of Kindergarten Campus were also encouraged to spend this month in spiritual cleansing, doing good deeds and spreading smiles through little acts of kindness. All students gathered to recite Hamd-o-Naat along with Azkar and Tasbeehat to get closer to Allah.
Showing empathy for the less fortunate, our students of Pre-Nursery made small “Sadqa boxes” to help the needy. KG students adopted a routine of feeding the birds and watering the plants regularly showing care for all living things. They also learned about the Sunnah way of offering prayers five times a day.
Class one students made their special Ramadan booklets to record their good deeds through out the month. In addition to that students utilized their art time to design beautiful Ramadan lanterns and bookmarks to use while reciting the Holy Quran.
These little efforts were made in order to make them realize the importance of this Sacred month. Although our students are too young to fast but they got to know about the fifth pillar of Islam, revelation of Quran, the night of Power “laylat-ul-Qadr” and that Iftar time is the blessing of Allah. Our students also realized that the Iftari is not only for their dear ones but it is to be shared with the community. Students were excited to know that the end of Ramadan brings the celebration of Eid-ul-fitr and reward as Eidi.
