Pre Nursery Explores Shopping!

Today, our Pre Nursery students stepped into a world of real-life learning as they visited the school cafeteria for a special shopping experience. This activity was thoughtfully designed to connect with their ongoing theme “Shopping” and their reader “Just Like Jasper.”

Just like Jasper’s little adventures, our young learners explored the cafeteria shelves, identified items, made choices, and practiced polite interaction. With tiny hands holding trays and eyes full of excitement, they selected favourite snacks.

This simple yet meaningful activity offered rich learning opportunities:
• Language Development: Children practiced vocabulary related to food, shopping, and making choices.
• Early Math Skills: Recognising quantities, comparing items, and understanding the concept of buying.
• Social Skills: Waiting their turn, interacting with staff, and showing independence.
• Healthy Habits: Understanding that choosing good food helps us grow strong and active.

Seeing their joy as they sat together and enjoyed their snacks was truly heartwarming. Activities like these build confidence and bring the classroom lessons to life—making learning memorable, practical, and fun!

At Beaconhouse, we believe that small experiences create big lessons. And today, our little shoppers proved just that!
