Beaconhouse Qasimabad Campus is known for its memorable events. From its recreational activities to its special occasions such as, Open house; which is an event for everyone to enjoy and get a chance to shine at and is likely to happen in the coming week. This week, the school arranged an event for
the Great Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
He and his beautiful poetry have always managed to touch the audience’s hearts. His poetries and ghazals weigh spiritually and have deep hidden meanings embedded in their lyrics. From being a major sector of its literature to being one of the most important reasons for its independence, Pakistan holds mounts of respect for Iqbal. Therefore, Beaconhouse held an exquisite event to pay respect to one of the greatest poets of all time.
This event was held under the supervision of the BSS music Society and Urdu teacher, Miss Lubaba. There were eight participants in total. Four for the poetry namely, Sania and Ayra from 9-C, and Abdul Salam and Rabia from 11-C. Each of whom sang quite delightfully indeed. Meanwhile, the rest of the four participants delivered the English translation namely; Aina from 11-C, and Sehla, Ayan, and Azka from 11-D. Without the translations, the event would have been incomplete as they surely did help the audience understand the poetries and the importance they hold. Pulling the entire event together as a centerpiece, was Fatima Zehra from 11-C; who played a very crucial role as a host. The background music was played by Sir Waqar.
This glamourous event was just one of many, giving the spotlight to many talented and proficient students; and it was a great success due to Students’ appreciable efforts. This particular occasion is also significant to many other Urdu teachers who attended it as it represented one of the most popular literature, rich with culture and religion. Utterly beautiful.
