Chess is a game that requires you to focus, a game that engages your mind at vital moments and enables you to hone your strategic abilities by anticipating several moves ahead of your opponent in order to win, and a game with a feature that assists your problem-solving ability. Chess teaches you the value of strategy and how your crazy plans may lead to your biggest victory ever.
On March 4th& 5th, the Hyderabad District Chess Association hosted a chess competition involving various schools of Hyderabad, including Beaconhouse School System Qasimabad.
Learning the fundamental elements of chess opening strategy is essential to make progress in chess. Fortunately, some of our ambitious chess players knew the tactics to energize the opening play.
The students then used their lead in development which required courage and active play. Time was an essential element of the game, and our students strategized not giving the opponents time to recover as they were falling behind in development due to their lack of opening strategy.
The game got heated as the students reached the point of breakeven with their opponents. Throughout the game, BSS students reminded themselves even world chess champions make mistakes but as long as they focused on recovery, the trophy will be theirs.
It was a thrilling match which resulted in BSS students taking the lead and winning the Hyderabad District Inter School Chess Championship 2022. It was a day of honor for the entire BSS Team when the students returned to their campus with the trophy.
BSS Qasimabad shows gratitude to the Hyderabad District Chess Association for bringing students from different schools together, theygot to learn more about one another while also enhancing their interpersonal skills. This is where teamwork begins. In the future we hope to see more thrilling and exciting events like this.
