Little Hands, Big Impact: Celebrating World Cleanup Day in Early Years
Our Nursery and Early Years students proudly joined hands to celebrate World Cleanup Day, taking their very first steps towards becoming eco-heroes and responsible Earth keepers. The day was filled with purposeful activities that introduced our young learners to the importance of caring for the environment in a joyful, age-appropriate, and meaningful way.
The celebration began with engaging conversations and storytelling sessions that helped children understand why keeping our surroundings clean matters. Through simple stories and visuals, learners explored the ideas of waste, cleanliness, and protecting nature, sparking curiosity and thoughtful discussions.
Children then enthusiastically participated in litter patrols, carefully collecting paper and safe waste items around the school premises. This hands-on activity encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and awareness as students worked together to keep their environment clean. Planting activities allowed children to connect with nature, teaching them how plants grow and why greenery is essential for a healthy planet.
