This week, our Class 4 students enjoyed a truly magical introduction to the latest additions to our school library. To celebrate the arrival of the new Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling and The BFG by Roald Dahl, the library team planned a set of fun, hands-on activities that turned reading into an adventure!
Students took part in:
✨ Dream & Wish Jars – Inspired by The BFG, children wrote down their sweetest dreams and wishes, letting their imagination take flight just like Sophie in the story.
🔍 Word Search Hunt – Filled with words from both books, this activity helped sharpen vocabulary and build excitement for the stories they were about to explore.
🏆 Golden Snitch Goals – Bringing a touch of Quidditch magic to the classroom, students aimed, scored, and cheered, all while learning more about the wizarding world.
These thoughtful and creative activities didn’t just introduce the books—they sparked curiosity, encouraged teamwork, and made reading feel like a celebration. Our young readers walked away smiling, inspired, and eager to dive into these timeless adventures.
