Project based learning not only provides opportunities for students to collaborate or drive their own learning, but it also teaches them skills such as problem solving and helps to develop additional skills integral to their future, such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication.
Students learn better when they learn by doing. Hence, the students of Grade-VI explored some of the unique features of ancient Egyptian Civilization in their History Project work titled “A Journey through Egypt”.
Students worked collaboratively with their group members on the assigned topics. They researched about Ancient Egyptians’ Lifestyle, River Nile, Egyptian Pharaohs and Pyramids, Egyptian Religion, Egyptian Writing and Counting Systems. They prepared their notes with the help of provided website links. Later, they designed their project in groups and presented their learning in front of the whole class.
It was an amazing collaborative learning opportunity for the students.
