Ensuring the dignity of every single person is essential to combating intolerance, injustice and inequality. Through education and initiatives, we should empower people to recognize their own inherent dignity and respect the equal worth of all others. Only then can we build cultures of dignity in our schools, communities, workplaces and—ultimately—societies that are more just, open and peaceful.
Beconhouse Defence Campus (Middle School) celebrated Global dignity day with joy and fervor. The school took the initiative to acknowledge people who are specially-abled (deaf-mute) and people from Old Age Home. Employees from Mc-Donald were invited and were applauded for introducing the concept of hiring people with disabilities and making them feel special.
Omer Saleem an alumni was invited as guest speaker to conduct the event and connect with the invited guest in sign language. They also participated with the students in the on-going Art competition week where students thoroughly enjoyed their presence.
