We are going to the zoo! Eyes lit up with excitement and faces glowed the day we announced the trip to the zoo. Students were enthusiastic and waited eagerly for THE DAY to arrive. They reached school way before time on 2nd Dec’21. The weather was pleasant with the sun shining brightly.  They looked adorable wearing bag packs, caps and sun glasses. We boarded the coaster and were on the way singing along wheels on the bus. After a 40 minute drive we reached our location – Danzoo. Students lined up and entered the zoo.

We started off with the petting zoo. Everyone was thrilled to know that they can pet the hens, fawn, lamb. They fed the animals with their hands – one of a kind of experience. Next, the students rushed to grab seats on the train to take a tour of the zoo. They saw the white lions relaxing whereas the Bengal tiger was roaming around.

There was puma and leopard as well. Our next stop was at the giraffes. Giraffes welcomed the students and seemed happy at their arrival. The chimpanzee’s enclosure was the most awaited stop. The chimpanzee interacted with the students and they loved it. They were ecstatic to see how he was clapping and waving at them. We then took a quick round from the enclosures of monkey, peacocks and bear. We then got off the train and walked to see the zebras and ostrich. We took a break for lunch. Students enjoyed the lunch time chitter chatting and discussing what they saw. We then moved ahead to the pond area which had ducks and swans.

Students had a group picture at the crocodile monument and then headed towards the coasters.

Students were served refreshments once they were seated. The students had a delightful trip to the zoo which was an educational learning as well. We look forward to more such trips to give exposure to our students and enhance their learning experience.
