Dignity and respect are the most desired needs of a human being. It is important to treat others well and value their contributions to society. To ensure and remind the world about the importance of dignity and respect, Beaconhouse Jauhar KG II celebrated “Global Dignity Day” with great enthusiasm on 20th October 2021. This initiative was taken to educate and inspire young people about the importance of being kind, humble and caring for others. It is our prime responsibility to help them step into those roles with compassion, understanding, and tolerance for all human beings. In this regard, different school-based and collaborative activities were planned to celebrate this noble day.
A friendly cricket match with blind and partially sighted players was played as a part of our global dignity week celebrations. It was fun watching young cricketers scoring boundaries with the auditory ball and actively fielding in the ground. Moreover, a group of deaf students participated enthusiastically in “Say it with Paint” poster making activities and thoroughly enjoyed digital doodles using digital tablets. The guests were thrilled while receiving the giveaways and trophies at the culmination of an action-packed day.
We believe that our today’s youth will become future leaders and role models who will move the world forward and make it a better place.
