On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, our entire school came together to observe a meaningful and reflective day centered around the idea of freedom. Across all classes, students participated in age-appropriate discussions and activities designed to help them understand the value of freedom and empathy towards others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teachers initiated thoughtful classroom conversations by asking students a simple yet powerful question:<\/span>
\n<\/span> \u201cWhat is freedom, and how would you feel if you were not allowed to make your own choices?\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

These discussions encouraged students to reflect deeply. Many shared that they would feel <\/span>sad, upset, confused, or frustrated<\/span><\/i> if their freedom was taken away. This helped them realize how important it is to have the right to think, speak, and act freely in their daily lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Building on this understanding, students were gently introduced to the situation in Kashmir in a sensitive and age-appropriate way. The focus remained on values such as fairness, peace, and respect for human rights. Students expressed that people everywhere, including Kashmiris, deserve to live peacefully and make their own choices.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the activity, students from different classes wrote their thoughts and reflections on sticky notes. These were displayed on classroom boards and shared spaces, creating a collective expression of empathy and understanding across the school. Their responses highlighted powerful ideas about freedom, kindness, and hope for a peaceful future.<\/span><\/p>\n

This whole-school engagement not only enhanced students\u2019 awareness of an important global issue but also fostered critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of compassion.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day served as a reminder that even the youngest voices can carry powerful messages , that freedom is a fundamental right, and everyone deserves to live with dignity and peace.
