With bright smiles, cheerful voices, and visible excitement, our pre-nursery students embarked on a delightful excursion to DanZoo. The trip was carefully planned and supervised by the teachers, who accompanied the students from school to ensure their safety, comfort, and enjoyment throughout the journey. It was a day filled with anticipation, learning, and happiness from the very beginning.
This excursion was not only a recreational outing but was also thoughtfully linked to our Project-Based Learning (PBL) theme, Pet Helper. The aim was to help students develop an early understanding of how to care for animals, treat them gently, and show kindness towards all living beings.
Upon arrival at the zoo, the students were filled with wonder and excitement. For many of them, it was their first experience of seeing animals so closely in a real-life environment. They eagerly observed different animals, pointed them out, tried to recognize and name them, and joyfully shared their thoughts with classmates and teachers. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made the entire visit lively and engaging.
Throughout the visit, students were gently guided on how to behave around animals. They were also introduced to the difference between pets and wild animals in a simple and age-appropriate way. These explanations helped them build early awareness and respect for animals.
After completing the tour and observing all the animals, the students enjoyed their snacks, which made them refreshed and happy after an exciting morning. At the end of the trip, each student was given a goody bag, adding a final touch of joy to their memorable day.
Teachers also captured pictures and videos throughout the excursion to preserve these special moments. By the end of the day, students returned with joyful memories, new learning experiences, and a deeper sense of kindness towards animals.
