Empty juice boxes, food wrappers and leftover food can create a lot of waste. World Cleanup Day reminds us that keeping our surroundings clean is not only about cleaning up rubbish. It is also about preventing waste in the first place.<br \/><br \/>One problem in our school is the amount of unnecessary waste produced during break time. Some students may take more food than they can finish or use disposable plastic items when reusable ones are available. If everyone makes a small change, we can reduce the amount of waste we produce.<br \/><br \/>As students, we can take simple actions. We can start a \u201cClean Plate Challenge\u201d and encourage everyone to take only as much food as they can finish. We can also bring reusable water bottles and lunch boxes instead of disposable ones. Another idea is to create colourful posters with messages such as \u201cTake What You Can Finish\u201d and \u201cUse It Again!\u201d We can display them around the school to remind others about responsible choices.<br \/><br \/>We can also observe the waste produced during break time and discuss what we could reduce. With the help of our teachers, we can share our ideas with our classmates and encourage them to make one small change.<br \/><br \/>A cleaner school does not depend only on the people who clean it. It depends on all of us making better choices. This World Cleanup Day, let us remember that even a small action can make a difference.
