We are so proud of Subhan from Nursery A! At just 4 years old, he has
\nwritten this wonderful piece about himself:<\/p>\n

What Subhan wrote:
\n\u201cMy name is Subhan. I am 4 years old. I like my friends. I
\nlove my family. I like my cousins. I love my teachers. I love
\nmy Grandparents. I love to read and write\u201d
\nWhy this is a big deal:
\nMost 4-year-olds are just beginning to develop pencil control. Subhan is
\nalready expressing his thoughts in complete sentences and showing a<\/p>\n

strong sense of connection to the people around him. His line, \u201cI love to
\nread and write,\u201d reflects the early development of a lifelong learner.<\/p>\n

Teacher Note:
\nIn Nursery A, we encourage \u201cemergent writing.\u201d That means
\nscribbles, drawings, and invented spelling all count. Subhan\u2019s
\nwork shows he understands that writing carries meaning. That\u2019s a
\nhuge Pre-K milestone.
