Have you ever noticed a tiny ant marching along the ground? Ants are very fascinating creators with customs and social lives. Ants live in big colonies. A colony can have thousands or even millions of ants. In this blog, we will explore how this most organized group in nature
work together and live in a community.
Ants are social insects. Each ant has its own job. Some ants find food, build homes and take care of each other just like soldiers. There is also a queen, whose responsibility is to lay eggs to grow a colony. Ants have some really cool customs. Ants are great at teamwork. And that’s one of
their interesting customs. For example, when they find food, they communicate using special smells to share the news of other ants!
One of the most touching customs ants have a unique way of honouring and goodbye to their fellow ants when they pass away. For example, when an ant dies, other ants in the colony react quickly.
First, they touch the body of their friend with their antennae. It means “we miss you!” Then workers ants carry the dead ant to the ant grave. They buried its body with soil and leaves to protect it. They are amazing because they feel a sense of community and show us how much they care for their friends.
In conclusion, ants may be small but they have a big impact on their world! Their teamwork unique customs and caring nature make them extraordinary creatures. So, the next time you see an ant, remember to appreciate these tiny workers.
