“Planet Earth vs. Planet Plastic”
written by M.Ayan & Bilal Lodhi from class V-A
Earth is in a tough competition with a new
planet made entirely of plastic. Which one
wins, and why?
The Earth has been polluted so much that many people have started to compare Ethe
arth with some new planets that are completely made from plastic.
most people choose the other planetfor better living, as Earth has been polluted too
much, thus this gives us a hint of regret because we were the ones to pollute Earth.
Most ofthe Earth is polluted by plastic but the other planet is completely made of
plastic.
The Earth experiences a significant rate of plastic pollution, with an estimated 20
million metric tons of plastic litter ending up in the environment annually. This pollution
stems from the production of over 460 million metric tons of plastic each year.
Plastic pollution can alter habitats and natural processes, reducing ecosystems’ ability to adapt to
climate change, directly affecting millions of people’s livelihoods, food production capabilities and
social well-being.Plastic pollution can alter habitats and natural processes, reducing ecosystems’

A hypothetical planet entirely made of plastic would experience severe and widespread
pollution due to the material’s non-biodegradable nature and the potentialfor chemical
leaching. The pollution would affect all ecosystems, including land, freshwater, and
marine environments, causing widespread ecological damage and potentially making
the planet uninhabitable.
In my opinion, living on Earth is better as the planet made from plastic has no greenery
and living there is impossible for human beings.
