A Walk Down Memory Lane – School Days
Written by Ms. Ayesha Daniyal (SC)
I recently came across my old school album, and it instantly filled me with nostalgia. Flipping through those pages took me on a journey back in time, reliving the golden days of school life—truly one of the most beautiful phases of life.
I remember the excitement of getting ready in the morning with my siblings, squeezing into the car, and rushing to school. The real thrill began even before the first bell—arriving 25 minutes before assembly just to meet friends, roam around carelessly, crack senseless jokes, and soak in the joy of those carefree moments.
Lessons were often something to get through by hook or by crook, but the real highlight was the break time—not because we were hungry, but because it was our window to play. Games like hide and seek, ice-water, and other childhood favorites made those short minutes feel like an entire adventure. And then, as home time approached, it wasn’t the thought of going home that excited us—it was another chance to play until we were picked up.
School days were truly special—a time when the biggest worries revolved around studies, yet dreams were endless. Sharing those dreams with friends, making promises to stay together forever, and living in a world so full of possibilities—those were the moments that defined childhood.
Oh, what a time school life is!
