As educators, the second term offers a canvas to paint vibrant strokes of growth in learner
attitudes, attributes, and agency. Here’s a glimpse of what we look forward to:
Learner Attributes
In the 2nd term, we aim to foster the 8 key attributes in our students:
Creative & Innovative: We will encourage imagination through project-based learning (e.g.,
designing a dream playground).
Analytical: Students will solve puzzles and explore “what-if” scenarios.
Resolute: We’ll teach goal-setting with fun challenges (e.g., “Read at least 3 words daily by
segmenting and blending this week!”).
Inquisitive: Open-ended questions will spark curiosity (e.g., “How does a plant grow?”).
Empathetic: Role-playing will help students understand and express diverse emotions.
Globally Aware: We’ll explore cultures via stories and festivals.
Ethical: Discussions on fairness and honesty will be part of our lessons.
Healthy & Active: Learning will blend with movement (Math hopscotch, Science scavenger
hunts).
Learner Agency
We look forward to:

– Giving voice and choice to students in topics, methods, learning stations, resources, or
pace (e.g., “Do you want to write or draw about the story?”).
– Creating a Student Voice corner for sharing ideas and feedback.
– Co-creating weekly goals with students and tracking progress together.
– Letting students decide how to present their work (poster, video).
– Encouraging self-assessment: How did I do? What next?
– Peer feedback and self-reflection.
Our Teaching Approach
– We will innovate lessons with tech (apps, videos) and hands-on fun.
– Use smiles, stickers, or verbal praise to motivate.
– Collaborate with parents for home-school sync.
We’ll start each day with a Learner Superpower focus (e.g., “Today, we’re analytical
detectives!”).
The 2nd term will be a launchpad for empowered, joyful learning!
