Eid Holidays
Written by Abdullah Motiwala
Eid holidays this year were a perfect blend of peace, food, family, and a bit of fun. After a month of Ramadan, which was all about reflection and fasting, it felt so good to finally celebrate with loved ones, recharge, and just enjoy the vibes. Here’s a little recap of how my Eid break went!
The first day of Eid always takes me by surprise. I woke up early (even though I was so inclined to sleep in), dressed myself in my new kurta, and set out for the Eid prayer with my family. The vibe was great – everyone was decked out, exchanging smiles and “Eid Mubarak,” and children were running around with their Eidi money already!
Post-prayers, we went home for breakfast. Finally, breakfast in the morning after a month! My mom prepared some seriously delicious sheer khurma, and of course, there was biryani on the plate later. The rest of the day was spent on family visits, catching up with cousins, and collecting (or distributing) Eidi.
The second day was more relaxed. I met up with a few friends for a small get-together. We ordered food, played some games, shared stories from Ramadan, and just laughed way too much over random stuff. It’s those kinds of hangouts that make holidays special, honestly.
Later in the evening, I worked on editing a YouTube video for my channel. It was great to be productive and have fun at the same time. Eid vibes plus creative energy? 10/10 combo.
By the third day, I completely went into chill mode. Remained indoors, played a bit of games (Roblox, Minecraft etc) , watched a couple of episodes of my show, and just let myself reset. Holidays are all about balancing – you have to have some quiet time too to recharge.
I also spent some time thinking about what I want to do next – with content, with life, and everything in between. Eid is not only a celebration; it’s a reminder to be thankful, to reconnect with your faith, and to appreciate the little things.
This Eid was low-key, special, and frankly, exactly what I needed. Doing things with family, eating good food, and giving myself a break from the constant hustle made it special in a way.
Eid Mubarak to all once again! Hope your holiday was filled with love, laughs, and lots of Eidi!
