Nursery A 
We are so proud of Subhan from Nursery A! At just 4 years old, he has
written this wonderful piece about himself:
What Subhan wrote:
“My name is Subhan. I am 4 years old. I like my friends. I
love my family. I like my cousins. I love my teachers. I love
my Grandparents. I love to read and write”
Why this is a big deal:
Most 4-year-olds are just beginning to develop pencil control. Subhan is
already expressing his thoughts in complete sentences and showing a
strong sense of connection to the people around him. His line, “I love to
read and write,” reflects the early development of a lifelong learner.
Teacher Note:
In Nursery A, we encourage “emergent writing.” That means
scribbles, drawings, and invented spelling all count. Subhan’s
work shows he understands that writing carries meaning. That’s a
huge Pre-K milestone.
