Field trips enrich and expand the curriculum, strengthen observation skills by immersing children into sensory activities, increase children’s knowledge in a particular subject area and expand children’s awareness of their own community. And everyone you speak with has a field trip memory.

Keeping this idea in mind Beaconhouse Kindergarten Branch III PECHS planned 2 different field trips according to students’ levels.

Early Years were taken to The Owl’s Nest Play Café on Wednesday, 1st December 2021; where our little learners were given opportunity to enjoy the creative indoor kids’ activities.

The place had soft play area, water toys, sensory play, and role play based activities. Students participated in various activities included pizza making, climbing ropes, surf and dive and others. They went wild to release their energy. They enjoyed watching a magic show.

Now let’s talk about our lower primary students so they were given the chance to visit The Dawood Foundation (TDF) MagnifiScience Centre (MSC) which is Pakistan’s first contemporary and interactive science center designed in a way to provide hands-on learning experiences to everyone, from young learners to elders. Our learners enjoyed MSC’s informal learning space where they were keenly engaged with science in a fun way while observing, exploring, and developing an understanding of everyday scientific phenomena.

MSC is spread over three floors. The assigned activity guides made children explored ground and first floor named Kids World Karachi and World Within Us that included variety of activity based learning areas such as; transportation and water world, MagnifiScience ship, hospital, sound and musical moments, body organs, head on the plate, mind-boggling-anti-gravity room, mirror maze and rotating witch house were much fun for both students and teachers. The interactive scientific activities engrossed students into fun and learning. All in all it was a fun filled day for all students. They enjoyed the most and returned back home with lots of happy moments within their memory bank.
