GLOBAL Dignity Day is celebrated around the world to make everyone realize that each citizen living in this world has their rights and deserves respect.
Dignity means the state or quality of being worthy of honour and respect, or human rights.
The first official observance of Global Dignity Day took place on October 20, 2008.
A spirited celebration of Dignity Day was held at Beaconhouse School System Kindergarten Branch III PECHS, Karachi on Friday, 22nd October 2021.
Students of Class 1s made dignity badges and took pledges to be dignified members of society.
Students of Class 2s prepared meal in school with the help of their teachers for support staff in acknowledgement of their untiring services to school. All students got the opportunity to take part in the GDD activity.
Dignity Day volunteer shared few inspirational words about the event.
Students had set up the meal tables in the play area by putting on tablecloth, placing the paper plates, disposable spoons and cups.
They fried kebabs, prepared salad, made tang juice and served with hot rice and lentils (daal chawal).
As it was a surprised meal for the support staff; so the students invited them to enjoy the food and felt really happy while serving them.
These activities were carried out to educate and inspire our students. All in all, it was a busy day at our branch, where the message of dignity was reinforced throughout the day.
