Double Letter! Double Word! Triple Letter! Triple Word! When you hear these, it can only mean one thing\u2014Scrabble! An event with a lively celebration of words, strategy, and a whole lot of fun. Here’s a recap of the exciting Scrabble showdown that had everyone thinking.\"\"On April 16, 2024, Grade 4 learners participated in the Inter-Clust<\/span>er Scrabble Championship, hosted by Beaconhouse Primary I Campus P.E.C.H.S. The event was designed to<\/span>\u00a0cultivate and enhance students\u2019 English language skills and vocabulary through interactive learning. While the game’s rule was simple\u2014score as many points as possible by forming words with the letter tiles\u2014the challenge lied in the need for effective tactics and strategies to outplay opponents.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Championship consisted of two rounds: the Inter-section qualifying round and the final Inter-Cluster round. Our students had the opportunity to compete with 4 other schools from within the cluster.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before the Final Round, our students had an Inter-section Opening Round in school to show off their skills with flair. They became familiar with the rules, improved their competence in creating words, and most importantly, honed their tactics and strategies for higher points to win.<\/span><\/p>\n

The competition was intense, with our students facing various opponents during the qualifying rounds. Impressively, two of them advanced to the finals, and one secured fourth place. Seeing him on the podium, overjoyed\u00a0and holding his trophy, <\/span>was a proud moment for <\/span>his Class Teacher, and for his parents as well.<\/span><\/p>\n
