Co-curricular activities are significant to boost confidence, nurturing values, and developing the understanding between cooperation and competition.<\/p>\n

It’s been a culture of our school, Primary I Campus P.E.C.H.S., that various co-curricular activities are designed along with regular curriculum-based learning.<\/p>\n

Beaconhouse Junior Idol, a singing competition for Grades 3 – 5 was organized for the Inter-Cluster Competition.<\/p>\n

The event started off with the audition phase, where the participants were shortlisted by our Music teacher. In the next phase, the finalized candidates showcased their talent in the FINAL AUDITION ROUND held on Thursday 8th of September, 2022 during school hours. Based on the results, three students were selected from our campus for Phase 2: Inter-Cluster Singing Competition.\u00a0 This is a great way to showcase the talents of our young shining stars. Hoping for the best for them in the next phase.<\/p>\n

The next widely celebrated event organized by P.E.C.H.S. Primary I was the bake sale.<\/p>\n

Its was held to raise donations for the flood victims. The students of grade 5 hosted the event and the whole school participated to help our fellow Pakistanis experiencing the most unthinkable calamity. We received an overwhelming response from the students, teachers, and parents.<\/p>\n

Roald Dahl (13 September 1916 \u2013 23 November 1990) was a British novelist, short-story writer, poet, screenwriter, and wartime fighter ace of Norwegian descent. His books have sold more than 250 million copies worldwide. Dahl has been called “one of the greatest storytellers for children of the 20th century”.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roald Dahl’s books share stories of bravery, adventure, self-belief, and – most of all – fun.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To pay a tribute to his marvelous contribution to English literature for children, students of Primary I celebrated Roald Dahl Week from the 13th to the 16th of September, 2022.<\/div>\n

\u201cSomewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world\u201d – Roald Dahl (Matilda)<\/div>\n
An interesting storytelling session for grade 1s was conducted by the students of Grade 4s. They read the story Matilda to the little ones to celebrate the famous author Roald Dahl’s Day. Later the children did a doodle art activity as well.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To pay tribute to the incredible writer, students of grade 2s watched the movie Fantastic Mr Fox based on the novel by Roald Dahl. They also made bookmarks featuring the main character of the story, Fantastic Mr. Fox.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Different activities were done by the students of Grade 3 and 4 throughout the week, such as, watching videos based on his books, poster-designing, making chocolate goodies and listening to the documentaries related to him, and reading his famous quotes.<\/div>\n

Students of Class 5s watched some interesting clips from the movie, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Later, they took a STEM Challenge ~ Building with gum drops’, and also reinforced Habit 2 (Begin with the end in mind) of highly effective people.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, International Dot Day was celebrated by children for boosting courage so that their creative potential is released. It was a great day to connect and collaborate, and also to celebrate self-expression. Students of Classes 3-5 designed their creative dots while celebrating this day.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Co-curricular activities fuel learning by stimulating creative thought, improving social and organizational skills, developing interests and talents, and offering the chance to do something children really enjoy.<\/p>\n
