To celebrate the rich cultural heritage of childhood play, Beaconhouse Elementary Campus PECHS organized Traditional Games Week from 17th to 21st February 2025. Students from Pre-Nursery to Grade 5 took part in this exciting event, stepping away from screens to engage in physical activities that promote teamwork, coordination, and strategic thinking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Throughout the week, the school grounds were filled with energy and excitement as students played Chupan Chupai, Kokla Chapaki, Langri Paala, Aankh Pacholi, and Pithoo Garam. Each game challenged students in different ways\u2014some tested their speed and agility, while others required balance, teamwork, and quick reflexes. Whether it was the thrill of hiding and seeking, the strategy behind stone-stacking, or the fun of hopping on one leg, every student participated with enthusiasm. Teachers ensured that all students were actively involved, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition and enjoyment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beyond the excitement, these games helped students develop essential life skills. They learned teamwork, patience, resilience, and problem-solving, all while having fun with their peers. Many students were introduced to games they had never played before, giving them a chance to explore new activities and appreciate the importance of traditional play.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Traditional Games Week was a wonderful experience that reminded students of the simple joys of childhood of their elders. It not only encouraged physical activity but also strengthened their connection to cultural traditions.
