Open House 2022 based on the theme of The Learning Ride was held on 20th March with enthusiastic participation and a multitude of avenues both entertaining and educational.
The scope of the event was not only limited to showcasing the academic learning that takes place in all our domains alongside their progression at each level but extended to presenting a beaconite’s learning journey and development through various interactive platforms. A myriad of arenas were setup, each with a unique perspective into the domain and presented the scope of learning that takes place at Beaconhouse KG II PECHS.
The onset of the event was the Welcome address by the new head Ms. Sumera Savez and presented a platform to convey her ambitious vision for the school and meet & greet the parents.
Funland of Early Years was a peek into the wondrous joyland of discovery and exploration through Language Rollercoaster, Math Mates and Little Explorers. Each station presented hands on activities to be explored.
Recycling Factory not only displayed a series of recycled projects on Habitats and City Models by the students but presented new ways to Reuse material and Reduce waste.
SciFari was an adventure into the realm of science with Science in Action where experiments were being done, the underlying phenomenas demonstrated and explained by the students.
Bookflix showcased story telling done right by the students and included bookmarks making fun. Language Hub provided the parents and students an opportunity to explore English vocabulary and expression through Scavenger Hunt, Roll a Story and The Mystery Man.
Coders Den was an ensemble of both current and futuristic math approaches. Coding using Scratch was introduced to the parents. Concrete Pictoral Abstracts were presented. Urdu Ka Safar took everyone to the mesmerizing
world of Alif Lela with Daastan Goi and a variety of immersive activities like ankh macholi, uljhan suljhan, charkha, tasveer kahani and zehni azmaish.
Parental Session was an interactive meeting and discussion on the triangle of support held by an ex beaconite briefing parents about the importance of students, teachers and parents cooperatives.
Sports Avenue held minute to win it gaming challenges. Bel Art was a world of inspiration to delve into with imagination unbound and expression displays.
Apart from the extensive learning activities, Face Painting, Food Stalls, Sing along, Photo booths, Tickets Counter and a Concert were also enjoyed by the attendees. The event was a major success, received an overwhelming response and positive feedback.
