“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin

Educational field trips play an integral role in the school curriculum. A field trip is one of the best tools that can provide the students with real life experiences in a fun and engaging way. BECP organized an educational trip to TDF MagnifiScience Centre for the students from grade III till V. It is  Pakistan’s first contemporary and interactive centre. The carefully designed centre provided our students with a variety of  hands-on learning experiences. The centre functions as an inclusive science hub, offering edutainment, igniting interest in science, and empowering people through better understanding of scientific principles and thinking.

Different areas of the centre were explored and observed by the students. Mangrove depths helped them in learning about the importance of Mangroves. Shopping centre, dentist corner, ambulance, transportation and construction area and operation table made the students understand how these professions run on a day to day basis. A quick visit to the Anti Gravity room was also a blithesome experience indeed. At the Water World, students observed how dams work and how the electricity is generated through hydro power. Music area was filled with numerous musical instruments. Students explored different sounds and patterns by playing music using provided utensils only.

The trip ended with a visit to the Foodology Cafe for a bite. The decor of the café provided an interesting ambiance to relax and think about science and sources of food.

It was indeed a magical experience for our students which urged them to re-think about how science, mathematics and physics work in our daily lives.
