In the fast-paced digital era, where screens dominate the landscape of entertainment, it’s refreshing to see that traditional games still hold a special place in the hearts of students at Beaconhouse Elementary Campus PECHS. These timeless activities not only offer a break from the virtual world but also foster camaraderie, teamwork, and physical activity among the students.

Playing traditional games makes students more connected to their own culture. BECP ensures that students not only excel in academics but also in other enjoyable co activities. Beaconhouse Elementary Campus PECHS organized Traditional Games Week from October 02 till October 06 2023. Throughout the week the students from Toddlers till Grade V took active part in playing traditional games. Early years students were extremely excited and energetic while playing bandar qila, oonch neech. Lower primary students played aankh macholi, pithoo garam and pakran pakrayi. Teachers maintained discipline and also made sure that each and every student would take part. 

Upper primary students found so much joy while playing chupan chupai, baraf paani, kho kho, langri Pala. These games and activities were new for students; their coordination skills and team work got polished, also provided them with an opportunity to engage with their classmates. 

All these activities were held under the supervision of PE teachers. BECP students were so excited while playing and did their best to win their respective games. Throughout the week, BECP was not only focusing on games but also encouraged students to try new things in life and always value their culture.
