“Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.” – “Love is the chain which binds a child to its parents.” – Abraham Lincoln.

Parental engagement strategies and focused sessions are true game-changers. Focused Sessions for the mother’s of Early Years, Lower and Upper Primary were organized at the BECP in the month of September 2023 to get them acquainted with the teaching and learning strategies, classroom practices, tools and techniques being used to make learning experience more interactive, fun and effective for the students.

Here at the BECP team, we aim to establish personal connections with parents, and our dedicated teachers are here to guide them, providing a deeper understanding of our curriculum. It only takes a few minutes each day! Our core concept revolves around sending unexpected, positive messages home to rekindle the connection between parents and their children.

Sending home these positive messages isn’t just a gesture – it’s a powerful tool for building rapport and fostering a sense of partnership with parents. Research consistently demonstrates the positive impact of praise on student learning and behavior. To make these interactions engaging, we incorporate activities with PowerPoint presentations that encourage parent involvement.

During these sessions, we meet parents on a personal level, providing a comprehensive overview of our curriculum. We break down each subject – English, Math, KNU, PSHE, PD, PE, Music, and Urdu – explaining our EY Thematic Approach, assessments, and utilizing various AFL strategies and resources. Essentially, we offer a brief demo to help every attending parent grasp the basic concepts of different subjects.

Connecting with parents through these interactive sessions is not just fulfilling; it’s a pleasure. We strive to strengthen relationships and contribute to students’ achievements in the years to come.
