From 27th to 31st October 2025, our school proudly celebrated Digital Citizenship Week, engaging Upper Primary students in a series of meaningful and interactive activities aimed at promoting responsible, safe, and thoughtful use of technology.
In today’s digital world, it is essential for students to develop skills that help them navigate online spaces wisely. Throughout the week, students explored key concepts such as online safety, critical thinking, digital balance, kindness, and responsible online behaviour.
Students participated enthusiastically in video-based discussions, where they watched age-appropriate videos and reflected on important topics like staying safe online, protecting personal information, and identifying unreliable or fake content. These discussions encouraged students to think critically and ask thoughtful questions about their digital choices.
One of the highlights of the week was the creation of a Digital Pledge Wall using Mentimeter. Students shared personal commitments on how they would practise healthy tech habits, such as limiting screen time, being respectful online, and thinking before clicking or sharing information. This activity helped students take ownership of their digital responsibilities in a creative and engaging way.
Additionally, students worked on activities focused on how to stay safe online, sharing ideas and tips on protecting themselves in digital spaces. These activities fostered collaboration, creativity, and awareness, reinforcing the importance of making smart and safe choices while using technology.
Digital Citizenship Week was a valuable learning experience that encouraged students to become responsible digital citizens who use technology not only wisely but also ethically and respectfully. The enthusiasm and thoughtful participation shown by our students truly reflected their growing understanding of digital responsibility.
We look forward to continuing these important conversations and empowering our learners to make positive choices in the digital world.
