“From Bonjour to Bright Ideas- A Summer of Learning Adventures!”

When the summer sun blazed high in the sky, the halls of Beaconhouse Elementary Campus came alive with laughter, music, and the joyful buzz of young learners. From 10th June to 30th June 2025, our much-anticipated Summer Camp unfolded- a three-week journey packed with discovery, creativity, and pure fun!

Little Explorers: Early Years Adventures

Our 3 to 7-year-olds dove into a world where play met learning. Each day sparked fresh excitement: children transformed into curious scientists watching rainbows “walk” in jars, dropped objects into tubs to test whether they would float or sink, and giggled as magnets “magically” pulled hidden treasures toward them. Music & Movement turned the room into a dance floor where Zumba beats, yoga stretches, and silly grooves kept little bodies active and happy. Meanwhile, the DIY Craft Corner unleashed creativity as tiny hands crafted picture frames, tie-dye swirls, painted rocks, and tinkling wind chimes.

Reader’s Theatre was another highlight- word hunts, puppet shows, and storytelling fed young imaginations. The Music Mashup introduced them to drumbeats and rhythms, before the most anticipated event arrived- a lively pool party where laughter echoed across the campus. One enthusiastic Early Years camper named Abu Bakar exclaimed: “I loved feeding the monster during story time—it was so funny!”

Global Citizens in the Making: Primary Years

For our 8 to 10-year-olds, the camp was a chance to blend learning with fun while exploring new horizons. Their journey began when students stepped into the world of French through interactive lessons on greetings (Les Salutations), colours, numbers, and days of the week. Their handmade French Lap Books were a delightful showcase of their learning. Children practiced greetings, colours, numbers, and days of the week, all neatly displayed in their self-made French Lap Books. Parents beamed with pride as their children greeted them in French at home.

Movement and teamwork remained central through Zumba, yoga, and hula hoop challenges, while the Swimming Club gave students confidence and joy in the water. Science experiments sparked teamwork and inquiry, and at the DIY Craft Corner, every child left with unique art pieces that turned the campus into a mini gallery. Music Mashup tied it all together with melodies, beats, and a sense of harmony that perfectly captured the spirit of summer.

A proud parent shared, “I was amazed to see my child greeting us in French at home- this camp opened up such exciting new doors for her!”

By the end of June, the campus glowed with achievements- scientists, storytellers, artists, dancers, swimmers, and budding linguists had all found their spark. What set this camp apart was not just the variety of activities but the way it nurtured curiosity, creativity, confidence, and collaboration that aligned perfectly with the core attributes of the Beaconhouse Learner Profile.

Here’s to another successful summer of laughter, learning, and limitless imagination at Beaconhouse Elementary Campus!
