What does Pakistan mean to a child? Perhaps it is a feeling of belonging, a symbol of pride, or a world of colours, stories, and possibilities waiting to be discovered. Under the inspiring theme “Pakistan – The Peace Maker,” learners at Beaconhouse Elementary Campus P.E.C.H.S., Block 6, explored these connections through their participation in the Pehchan Pakistan Contest 2026–2027.
Open to learners from Nursery to Grade II, the contest offered a valuable opportunity to move beyond routine classroom learning and engage with national identity through personal expression and imagination. The enthusiasm surrounding the activities reflected the excitement of young learners eager to contribute their own ideas, emotions, and creativity to a celebration of their homeland.
Little Faces, A Nation of Pride
Category 1: “This Is My Pakistan” — Nursery and Kindergarten
For our youngest participants, Pakistan took centre stage through the photographic category “This Is My Pakistan.” Nursery and Kindergarten learners submitted photographs featuring themselves, making their presence an essential part of each entry. This personal element transformed the activity into more than a photographic submission; it became a meaningful opportunity for children to see themselves as part of a larger national identity.
The charm of this category lay in its simplicity and significance. At an age when children are beginning to understand the world around them, such experiences help cultivate an early sense of belonging and introduce the idea that national pride can be expressed in ways that are personal, authentic, and heartfelt.

Where Imagination Takes Flight
Category 2: “A Bird That Lives in Pakistan” — Grades I and II
For learners in Grades I and II, the creative writing category opened a window into Pakistan’s natural world. Inspired by the topic “A Bird That Lives in Pakistan,” children were invited to create original written compositions that brought their chosen subjects to life through their own ideas and imagination.
The activity sparked genuine eagerness as learners explored possibilities, shaped their thoughts, and looked forward to translating their ideas onto paper. Their fascination with the task created space for personal expression, allowing them to invest their writing with imagination, individuality, and feeling. Each learner approached the experience with a unique perspective, demonstrating how a thoughtfully designed creative challenge can transform a familiar topic into an engaging literary journey.
Beyond developing writing skills, the activity encouraged independent thinking, originality, and an appreciation of Pakistan’s natural heritage. It gave learners the freedom to discover the power of their own words and experience the satisfaction of creating something that reflected their individual voice.
More Than a Contest: An Experience to Remember
The true value of Pehchan Pakistan extended beyond the entries themselves. For our learners, it was an opportunity to explore, imagine, create, and connect with a theme that held significance far beyond the classroom. Through photography and creative writing, they encountered different ways of expressing identity and discovered that even the simplest ideas can communicate meaningful messages.
Such experiences are integral to a well-rounded education. They nurture confidence, encourage curiosity, and provide authentic opportunities for children to apply their learning in purposeful ways. Most importantly, they allow young learners to recognise that their ideas matter and that creativity is a powerful means of communication.
At Beaconhouse Elementary Campus P.E.C.H.S., Block 6, we take pride in creating opportunities that enrich learning and broaden our learners’ horizons. Their enthusiastic participation in Pehchan Pakistan reflects the value of providing children with platforms where their individuality can flourish and their perspectives can find expression.

Every photograph captured a personal connection; every composition offered a glimpse into a young imagination. Together, they reflected the promise of a generation growing in confidence, creativity, and consciousness of its national identity. As our learners continue to discover their place in the world, may they carry forward the spirit of Pakistan – The Peace Maker, embracing compassion, celebrating diversity, and contributing to a future shaped by understanding and peace.
