Leadership Is a Practice, Not a Lesson
What if leadership isn’t something we teach our students, but something we practise alongside them?
That question shaped our recent Leader in Me session with our coach, Ms. Mahnoor, sparking conversations that went beyond strategies and activities. We reflected on where we are, where we want to go, and most importantly, the kind of culture we want to create together.
Our next chapter is about making leadership more visible, meaningful and student-led. We are looking forward to creating spaces where students can step up, take ownership and have their voices heard. Through meaningful leadership roles and our Student Council, they will have opportunities to contribute, make decisions and play an active role in shaping our school community.
We also look forward to engaging families in this journey, building a stronger connection between the leadership culture at school and the experiences children have beyond the classroom. When everyone becomes part of the journey, the impact becomes deeper and more lasting.
As we move forward, our focus remains on creating a culture where students feel trusted, valued and empowered to make a difference. Every small opportunity to lead can become a moment of growth, confidence and discovery.
And that is the heart of our Leader In Me journey: not a lesson to be completed, but a practice to be lived.
Voice leads to ownership. Ownership leads to action. Action leads to a culture where every student can shine.
