The learners form an emotional bond with the teacher as they develop their listening skills and communicate. Animated gestures and intonation help develop vocabulary, sentence structure, along with phonetical awareness. Storytelling lays the base of developing young readers and cultivating the link between spoken and written language.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the initial years of development, storytelling molds a learner\u2019s concentration and stimulates critical thinking as they try to remember plots and use their imagination when processing new information. Thus, adding to cognitive development.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stories are mirrors of our culture and those of others, it helps create awareness of the world we live in. storytelling also nurtures emotions \u2013 identifying and developing empathy and social awareness. This allows the learner to analyze and access complex situations, incorporate moral values and understand different perspectives.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Storytelling in the early year classroom is more than a routine activity, it is a bridge between play and purposeful learning that inspires young minds to find their voice, shape their ideas and share them in a safe environment.
