It also helps our<br \/>refrigerators keep ice cream cold and our microwaves make<br \/>popcorn quickly. Isn\u2019t that cool?<br \/><br \/><strong>Keeping Us Healthy<\/strong><br \/>Science helps us stay healthy. Medicines and vitamins can help us feel better when we are sick. Scientists also discovered that tiny germs can make us ill. That is why we wash our hands with soap.<br \/><strong>Growing Our Food<\/strong><br \/>Science helps farmers grow bigger and healthier fruits and vegetables, so we have plenty of food to eat. It also helps keep milk and other food fresh for a longer time, so they do not spoil quickly.<br \/><br \/><strong>Predicting the Weather<\/strong><br \/>Have you ever checked the weather before going to school? Meteorologists, or weather scientists, study the sky and clouds. They help us know whether we need an umbrella or a sun hat.<br \/><strong>Moving Around and Exploring<\/strong><br \/>Science helps us travel too. Cars, buses, trains and aeroplanes are all made using science. Science even helped build rockets that carried astronauts into outer space and allowed people to walk on the Moon.<br \/>Science makes our lives easier, healthier and more exciting.
