“Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents.” – Bob Beauprez.
The Beaconhouse School System believes that parents play a pivotal role in a child’s early education, which is why educating and ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques is essential.
For this purpose, Primary II Campus, P.E.C.H.S, arranged a series of parental sessions, Hand In Hand, from October 6th onwards.
The primary goal of these sessions was to enable parents to work together with the teachers to ensure the well-being of our students and enhance their learning journey. The sessions were held for parents.
As the first of the series, an informative session on Healthy Nutrition was conducted in collaboration with Abbott Laboratories to help parents inculcate healthy eating habits in their children.
Apart from this, a session was held to educate parents on phonetic techniques used to teach phonics in the Urdu language and another on phonics and reading in the English language.
Another session was held to educate parents about the CPA approach, used by the Beaconhouse School System as the primary teaching strategy so that it is easier for parents to guide their children accordingly.
Learning with the CPA approach emphasizes the active role of students in developing their knowledge through the stages of learning by using concrete (manipulative) objects, pictorial, and abstract stages.
We hope the sessions prove to be fruitful for our students.
